I think a commenting and maybe a rating system would be a nice feature for the games in Udder Punch.

Well… I see two sides, it would be nice to find the best of the best, but it would be kindof harsh to see a game you worked really hard on rated as a one out of five.
I dont have a solid vote, but I do lean towards the rating system.

Hmmmmm. This is something I’ve never thought about. I don’t know. I would really rather not have people flaming other peoples work on this site. Something tells me, that most people wouldn’t give an honest review. Most people would either bash the game cause they don’t like the people who made it (or as a joke) or they would vote it high even though the game doesn’t deserve it becuase they wanted to be nice. If enough people log on and say they want it, I will consider it.

Seems like a decent idea, but the chances of there even being any remotely accurate reviews is slim to none. That and if you knew the coders there is probably going to be some bias one way or the other (Kofman’s SGD Balls game deserves five stars or whatever; that collision logic is fucking wicked retarded).

There should be a section on this site for such things. Im sure some people would willingly submit a game they worked hard on & failed to accomplish, giving an example to future students.
Kofman’s idea was good but I bet it was a bitch to program under a deadline.

I only know about his collision because I helped him with it one morning. Made me almost cry. ; ;

Thanks, I actually finished all the logic in that game by deadline, features, game modes, and the like well that’s another story but the core gameplay did get finished and I have to say that things did get a lot harder past the collision. The recursive traversal was a bit of a pain once bugs started showing up. I’m sure I’ll get to use the same techniques in other games, so w/e it was a pretty good learning experience.

People could tilt the downloads on purpose, I enjoy the ambiguity of the site because you never know what your going to get. On the other hand counters might help someone find some form of inspiration or entertainment.

Hmmm counters is an idea. If more of you guys think it’s a good idea, let me know. I’ll see if it’s possible.
